Some days I have rants and other days I have adventures, but every day is a learning experience that I embrace and thank God I was given the opportunity to know and to be. could somebody please turn on the heat lamp?

I seem to have erred, and almost missed my flight. Now a mad scramble to get it sorted out and over to Singapore in time to take off. Now, after receiving this picture, I am not so sure I wanna. I cant even take extra warm clothes. I dont have any here.

for those of you readers in Malaysia, that white stuff is SNOW - and should not be on the streets in that city.

nice way to start the day

I had a nice skype visit with Ry - although with my internet we typed and didn't talk and we didn't see each other. But I know what he looks like and know what his voice is like, so reading his thoughts was as good as it gets.
And this morning I was wakened by the voice of Jennifer and Levi. What a lovely way to wake up. I had been awake but fell back to sleep with the drug induced coma one has from antihistimines. Good thing they called, I might have missed the day.
Thank you both for making my day!

French Lavender and Elephant sarong

I somehow managed to find a small essential oil burner last week and tea lights. I also bought the local version of lavender which is pleasant smelling but clearly not lavender. Just now I donned my elephant sarong from Thailand and have some sweet lavender (Jennifer sent the 'real thing' from Canada) burning in the living room. How much closer can I get to the two people who gave me these gifts? Not much.Now I really want both of them to come here to be with me. I hope that can happen before I leave.

Monty no more

On another note. I evicted Monty on the weekend. After purchasing a desk to store my work papers etc, I began the task of moving the substantial pile of paper from on and around my wee computer desk. In that nest, Monty fluttered out, and I with my broom took chase around the living room. This time determined to win. He was very slow moving - probably because he has not had a banquet in my home. Or maybe obesity was not working for him. In any case, I shooed him from under a chair, under a shoe, and finally with my broom sent him flying out the patio door. He was not adding to the abiance of the place anyway. And Gordie and his buddies did a victory dance on my patio ceiling all weekend after the eviction, so he really was not welcome by anyone here.
