How we see ourselves and how we look to others are often completely different people. It turns out that our own view or self is far more critically viewed than how others see us. Maybe it is time for many of us to take off the judgement hats and put on a halo when we look upon ourselves.
I have a very good friend who told me years ago that women care too much about what they are, how they look, and how they measure up against other women. That friend is male. But, he is right. He also told me that a male could do the same, and often does. But if you stick yourself in that routine, you are never going to measure up against the idols, the geniuses, the winners. Be your own winner, and be the best that you can be, and accept that you are awesome as you are. If you do, you will likely see yourself as others see you. Which is in a better light that you allow when you take a look.
Here is a great video that demonstrates just this thought.
How do you think you look?
from the last few days in Canada and forward, you can join me in my thoughts and actions as I learn how to live in a country that I had not even known the exact location until Ryan was there a few years ago. Some days I have rants and other days I have adventures, but every day is a learning experience that I embrace and thank God I was given the opportunity to know and to be. I might even upload a picture of me in this place I now call home – for now.
