74 - Thrown Another Bone

As we remain in the dark, I ponder the various reactions to a possibility of another contract. Enjoying data collection in research, I track these reactions, reread the message and deduce that nothing has changed.  The ones who did not take that approach think that their prayers have been answered and they have another gig next year.   If the hiring committee took the same approach that I did, and used the information they gathered, they could end up with a very functional team.  Alas, they wont.  Firstly, it is a bone that the tosser has not released.  Maybe it is just a fishing expedition to see who will be left and willing to return if the proverbial bone is tossed to them in the first place. If they paid attention, they would see anxious manic depressive employees whose entire livelihood depends on the outcome of the game of catch the bone. These anxious people should never have had the job in the first place. They don't go to work, they don't even understand what the job is, but they are far more clever than those who do know and go.  They have discovered a way to not work, get paid, and have a free vacation in a foreign land.  Apparently, this is a common description of people in this industry.  Apparently I am not going to change that.  Apparently, this cycle of abuse of funding, and clever dupers will continue along their journey.  To understand what I am saying here, as it probably appears a bit abstract - one such manic is contemplating buying a wheel chair because of health problems. One of the questions asked when applying for the job is 'do you have any health issues that do not allow you to climb stairs on a regular basis?' The schools we visit have 3 flights of concrete stairs that we must flutter up and down every day.  This part of the world is not all inclusive when we talk about access for disabled. You cannot even post back to your family where I live, if you cannot climb a flight of uneven stairs. It is important to ask that question that was asked - but equally important to know the real answer before the person is hired. What was she thinking - building an evel Knevil ramp for the staircases and flying up and down, or just not going?
Who knows - has she or has she not sung?

So, for now I will continue to clean out my cupboards and consume the food I have stashed there. If the bone is tossed for real, perhaps I will make some soup.

Interesting - I see I have stirred some interest of readers over this way - lots of local readership have already consumed this post.
                                         enjoy!
